Welcome to Someplace Else!

Our restaurant started out as family owned in 1993. Kelly, Kris Mohr's brother, started with a small deli in the 80’s. We sure have grown through though the years! Kris & Denny Mohr owned and operated Someplace Else Restaurant until 2018 when Dean Pierce and long-time and seasoned employee, Katie Duckworth, took over ownership to keep the long-standing commitment to service and quality. 

There is a reason we are called Someplace Else… When we find a great recipe we think you’d enjoy, we “borrow” it for our menu. After all, imitation is the greatest form of flattery and originality is just over-rated.

For example, the banana bread pudding comes from the Red Fish Grill on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Many recipes are award winners from Better Homes and Gardens magazine. We can’t find divulge where the homemade carrot cake recipe came from or we’ll be in trouble.

Of course, it’s not just about the recipe. It’s also about our commitment to using fresh ingredients and taking our time to prepare dishes properly. We make almost all our entrees, sauces and dressings from scratch. Our Buffalo wings are all hand-breaded and, of course, the soups are made fresh daily. You can taste the fresh broccoli in our most popular cream soup. Our renowned corned beef, roast beef, and prime rib are all slow roasted through the night by Dean.

We’ve worked hard to combine the best recipes with the freshest ingredients while providing the highest quality service. We hope you feel we’ve been successful in accomplishing that and you enjoy your dining experience with us.
